Herpa - The first batch of Herpa's new 023023 BMW Mini Cooper Models have arrived at Promotex Online just in time for August delivery. It's priced at $7.95. This is the standard finish version which comes in "Flamenco Orange" which should be fairly close to the "Gotcha" Red used on the real thing.
The 033022 metallic variant comes in black which should equate to the "Tux" finish on the prototype. It is currently in production at Dietenhofen and will be in distributors' next regular shipments. It will be $8.95. All prices plus shipping & handling.

This is the Mini Cooper that BMW will be bringing to America in early 2002. There is another version, called the Mini One, that is for Europe only. They have already gone on sale in Great Britain. As of Wednesday, August 1, there will be a column up at Promotex about the history of the original Mini and BMW's plans for the new version.
Herpa has created an Advent Calendar each year since 1987. The Calendar has 24 doors and behind each is a different special automobile model. All brands are represented so you won't wind up with 24 Trabants or something. Easily more fun that conventional Advent Calendars.
