The 87scalecars e-mail list on Yahoo recently has a lengthy thread concerning the Peterbilt truck tractor and tanker that appeared in the movie "Duel". Terry Walthers sent us this photo of the menacing Pete. The tractor was built using a die-cast cab and scratchbuilt or kitbashed the rest of the tractor using fuel tanks, wheels, and tires from Athearn. The trailer is a modified Roco military gasoline tanker.
