Bill McKean, former owner of McKean Models, has made a very special
offer to the visitors to this web site and members of the 87scalecars
e-mail list. Bill's complete offer is as follows:
I was cleaning under the train layout and found an envelope of decals
originally made for McKean Models, but never packaged and sold. These
are for HO fire equipment, two small sheets per pack, containing the
following:
FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT PUMPER TRUCK VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT FOAM
TANKER ENGINE COMPANY RESCUE SQUAD CITY UNIT COUNTY AIRPORT AERIAL
SNORKEL SQURT TOWER F.D. NO. CO. VOL. DEPT. PROT. DIST. TOWNSHIP TWP.
Obviously, cut 'em apart for the words/phrases you want to use...
Also, each sheet has two Maltese Cross emblems, two shields with
flat top and curved bottom, one shield with flat top and pointy bottom,
one shield with pointy top and bottom, AND two each of letters A through
Z, and numbers 1, 2 and 0, plus one each of 3 through 9.
A SET consists of two of these sheets. I've got 110 sets available
in "bronze gold", and another 25 in white. After that, they're
gone, since the artwork no longer exists, or at best is lost somewhere
else in the basement.
They're first come, first served, $1 per set, $0.50 postage per order,
OR send a STAMPED self-addressed return envelope.
These guys were made in the late eighties, so a dose of MicroScale
Decal Film wouldn't be a bad idea...
Send checks to:
