Brian Donato built this Mack RD600 using a cab, bulldog, air cleaner, and horn from Alloy Forms and scratchbuilt nose/hood. It’s built on a Boley chassis with a modified Boley sand spreader. The fuel tanks are from Athearn, exhaust and battery boxes are from Ralph Ratcliffe Models. The wheels are cast resin from an old Walthers kit. The plow frame is scratchbuilt from styrene as well as the rear sand spreader. The sander body fenders and top screen are brass. Strobe light is from Roco and mirrors are from Plano Model Products. Brian used MV lenses for the headlights, rear warning lights, and tail lights. The sand load is simulated using a combination of white glue, acrylic paint, and chalk powders topped off with Dullcote.
