Rick Hoskinson converted a Brekina Mercedes Benz 4500s into the half track version by removing the original running gear and adding Trident Panzer II tracks. The tracks were modified by replacing the drive sprocket and rear idler with Roco components that more closely represent the prototype. Scratchbuilt items include fender mounted clearance marker, lollipop mirror, tarp bows and tarp cover. Added details are A-line wipers, MV Products lenses, Roco Notek blackout light and frame hitch. Paint is Model Masters Panzer Dark Yellow and decals are from TL. The Howitzer is from Roco and has an elevation wheel added made from a Precision Scale railroad locomotive brake wheel and a towing safety chain added from Detail Associates. Paint is Model Masters Panzer Dark Yellow. Both models were weathered using washes, dry brush, pastel pigments and art pencils.
