This is the "Bug Rod," built by Richard Olson. It’s a Wiking Volkswagen Beetle which has had the front fenders removed and new replacement inner panels added. The rear fenders were also trimmed to clear the rolling chassis provided by a Ricko ‘32 Ford Hot Rod. The headlights, "hairpins" (suspension trailing arms), and steering linkage were all transferred from the Ricko model as well to the new Bug body with original paint and interior.
