Rick Hoskinson started with a Wiking model of a post World War II Mercedes Benz 6500 with trailer model. The front end was swapped with a cab and front fenders from a Brekina Mercedes Benz 5000. Larger, heavy duty wheels and tires from a Wiking Bussing Nag 8000 replaced the kit originals. The front fenders were removed from the trailer and tail lights from MV Products were added to both truck and trailer. Scratchbuilt items include left and right lollipop mirrors, license plate frames, and brass bumper mounted clearance markers. The truck and trailer were both finished in Model Masters Panzer Gray and the canvas bed tarps were done in a custom mix of gray, brown and green. No weathering has been applied.
