This unique model is David's Flynn first example he's designed and made using a 3D printer. The model is of a 1958 Seaman-Andwall 5620 rubber tired compactor. David remembers the prototype from when he was a kid, used by the Town of Smithtown (NY) Highway Department from 1958 to 1975. David designed the 3D model in Tinkercad software and uploaded it to Thingiverse.com. David's town library makes 3D prints for 25 cents per 15 minutes of printing; this model cost $2.00 to print! The two large parts and some of the tires are from the printer. The other parts are from sheet plastic and the parts box. The decals are homemade. At bottom is a 1975 photo of the prototype.
