Promoting Excellence in HO Scale Vehicle Modeling

German WWII Kfz 31 Ambulance - By Rick Hoskinson

The prototype Kfz 31 ambulance was based on the German Ford G917T three ton truck chassis. Only a few were built by the firm of Christian Miesen according to Reinhard Frank's book Trucks of the Wehrmacht. This model is a resin casting and plastic composite from ADP. Construction is out of the box with the addition of a scratchbuilt fuel filler neck. License plates, tail lights, lollipop mirror, and exhaust pipe. A-Line windshield wipers, and MV Products lenses were also added. This model was painted with Model Masters paint and weathered with washes and dry brushing. Dust and dirt were done with dry pigments. Decals are from Peddinghaus and TL decals.
