Jesse Weigand built this Caterpillar 320D excavator model from Norscot that has been modified into a CSX RCE (Rail Construction Equipment) Railavator. It has had its bucket removed and replaced with a 3D printed hydraulic mulching head. The model features custom 3D printed triple grouser tracks with individual links. The model also features a scratchbuilt undercarriage with high rail wheels. Modern machines like this are used to clear brush, undergrowth, and tree limbs from railroad right of ways. Model was photographed on a Route87 module.
