Jim Groeneweg built this 2016 Western Star by using a Jacobs Models resin 4900 day cab with a 4900 SBA hood, modified to a 4800 style. The chassis is a Herpa builder chassis with front wheels with modified Athearn high flotation tires long with A-Line rear tires on Athearn wheels. The battery box and DEF tanks are resin castings, an Athearn fuel tank was used, scratch-built fenders front and rear added, and outfitted with a Herpa large mixer barrel. The exhaust is a mix of Kibri and scratchbuilt pieces, mirrors are from a Tonkin Freightliner Coronado, convex mirrors are scratchbuilt and the water hose on the rear is copper wire painted red.
