Canadian modeler Christophe Culis modified a Norscot Caterpillar M380D wheeled excavator for MoW applications. Christophe got inspired by a John Deere excavator equipped in a similar fashion. It working on the Ontario Northland Railroad (see picture at bottom). Using a Kibri hi-rail gear, he simply installed one set on the blade and the other one to the other extremity of the chassis. Note also the small extension blocks on the pads of the stabs so that they can reach the top of the ties when lowered.
