International 7600 Snow Plow Truck - By Brian Donato

Brian Donato built this International 7600 snow plow/sander using a Boley cab and chassis. The cab has had the front bumper removed for the scratchbuilt plow frame. The roof features an antenna made from beading wire, a cast metal spotlight, and an amber strobe light from ROCO. The cab also features a metal grab handle on the driver's side fashioned using tweezers and some wire. The number decals are from Microscale as are all the decals used on this truck. Inside the cab a driver figure was added along with plow controls.

The dump bed is from the parts box and the bulkhead is part of a Boley dump bed. It has a scratchbuilt bed cover made from metal wire and styrene. The strobe lights on the cab protector are from ROCO as well. The rear tail gate portion features a sander from Ralph Ratcliffe Models and has an added cast metal work light, scratchbuilt spreader disc, and hydraulic lines from A-Line. Orange back up markers are painted beading wire. The rear of the chassis also features a ROCO pintle hitch and styrene mud flaps. The dump bed features a realistic looking sand load comprised of wood glue, Tamiya putty, and weathering chalks.

The chassis has a modified exhaust pipe and muffler from an Athearn Ford fire truck, hydraulic tank and lines behind the cab, as well as a fuel tank, tool/chain cabinet, and other small details from the parts box. Rear wheels are A-Line two whole disc wheels and the front are steerable from Herpa.

The entire plow frame was scratchbuilt and uses metal ditch lights for headlights. Scale chain has been used as well as the excellent plow kit from Ralph Ratcliffe Models. Orange markers on the plow are painted beading wire also.
