Here's another of Günter Storch's spectacular Arctic oilfield rigs, a Foremost Commander. This big Commander is also running for ATK Oilfield Transportation from Alberta, Canada. You may watch this giant in action on YOUTUBE. Günter's model is nearly complete scratchbuilt from Evergreen styrene.
The cab is a modified Kibri part of an old Liebherr crane. The tires are resin castings he bought at a swap meet. Some of Günter's self made toolboxes and tanks are mounted on the frame. ATK decals were self printed and the rear lights are decals from DecalPrint.
The load is a P-tank that is used in gas drilling operations. The front end of the load is a Preiser fire rescue part fixed on a housing and frame made from Evergreen styrene parts. All of Günter's models are weathered with powdered chalks that makes them look used.
