
Jo Jucker submitted these photos of his model Mowag MR 8 Wotan from the Zurich Cantonal Police in Switzerland. The prototype Wotan was developed by the Swiss company Mowag in 1960. It is an armored vehicle for a team of 7 men. Its engine produces 161 hp and can accelerate the car up to 51 miles/h (82km/h). Total weight of 8.2 tons. From 1963 700 Wotan were also produced in license by Henschel / Bussing and delivered to the German Border Patrol (Bundes Grenzschutz) BGS. These cars were called Sonderwagen 1 or Kfz 91. in the photo above the Wotan is along with policemen on an exercise in the mountains. Model is from Herpa, repainted and refined.
