This is very realistic Freightliner logging rig was modeled by Dennis Raper after a real truck owned by Kenny Keeler in Veneta, OR. The truck is a modified Athearn Freightliner COE. Dennis cut the sleeper compartment down and changed the truck to an older year model by removing the double headlight setup and modifying it to the single headlight version. The Alloy Forms headache rack has been reconfigured to match the rack on the prototype truck. Dennis also added an engine from a Herpa truck just to fill in the space under the cab. The chassis has been extended in two places. The model also has exhaust clapper (rain cap), scratchbuilt mud flaps, turn signals, taillights, rear cab window, modified front bumper and painted to match the real truck. The trailer is the Herpa west coast log trailer with logs from Mike Ozosky. Light weathering was done with Bragdon Weather System powders.
