Dennis Raper built this model of a hard working Kenworth W900 logging truck. Dennis began with an Athearn Kenworth model and lengthened the nose by one scale foot to make it an "extended hood" A-Model. It has a modified Alloy Forms headache rack, paper mud flaps, turn signals, shattered windshield (passenger side), extended frame, and a short length of A-Line scale chain over the frame rail behind the driver.

The trailer is from Herpa. Dennis flipped the suspension to make it sit a more realistic height and give the suspension a full range of motion. He painted the taillights and replaced the thick mud flaps with paper flaps. Both pieces were liberally dusted with AIM and Bragdon weathering powders.
