First-time contributor Kenny Lee submitted this photo of his '68 "Bullitt" Ford Mustang and the Audi S8 from "Ronin." The Mustang began as a Walthers model, while the Audi is from Rietze. These two cars were Kenny's very first attempts of painting as an adult. He notes, "As a kid, I never had the patience to let my models dry properly and frequently left thumbprints in the paint!" Boy, can we all related to that!
Kenny continues, "Over the years, I've been truly inspired by the site's galleries. Bob Kelley was the 1/87 guru who got me hooked on this scale. Really miss the guy." For those who didn't know Bob, he was a pioneering 1/87 scale modeler in the U.S. attending shows and swap meets in Germany and other parts of Europe, bring back to Los Angeles some pretty incredible models and kits the rest of us knew little, if anything about! Kenny, we all miss Bob but those of us fortunate to spend any considerable time with him, we really miss him!!
