Jim Balogh built this diorama depicting what some experiences he had while driving a truck. Never to let a good story get in the way of work, drivers would sometimes raise the ire of the equipment operators or the site bosses, as witnessed here. It also depicts drivers' attitudes towards their trucks; some took immense pride while others couldn't care less about the appearance of their rigs.
The excavator is from Kibri painted with Caterpillar yellow paint. The Mack is a straight out of the box Walthers resin kit. The Ford LNT-9000 is from Atlas with the frame extended to accept a Matchbox dump bed and a Matchbox plow frame. The tractor pulling the dump trailer is from Athearn with a few modifications. The trailer is from Herpa. The custom wheel covers where cut out of sheet styrene with a hole punch. All models were weathered with chalk and washes.
