Link-Belt RTC 80100 Rough Terrain Crane - By Thomas Kelly

Thomas Kelly had a very detailed bridge replacement construction scene on his Route87 module on display at the 2014 East Coast Meet in W. Springfield, MA. Here is a Link-Belt crane getting ready to set one on the bridge beams. The Link-Belt is a 3 axle RTC 80100 rough terrain crane. It was built mostly from scratch using a Kibri Liebherr LTM 1600/2 for parts of the chassis and boom. Part of Herpa jib (from their Liebherr crane) was used for jib attachment. The crane body was built from scratch except for the operator's cab. The outrigger boxes are scratchbuilt and removable from the machine using 00-90 bolts/nuts. Wheels and tires are from Dennis Aust.
