This '50s era Dohrn Transportation (of Rock Island, IL) rig is represented by a scratchbuilt 35-foot trailer made from Evergreen styrene sheet and strips mated to a Sylvan Scale Models GMC 860 single axle truck tractor. The trailer has A-Line suspension, wheels, and mud flaps and Classic Metal Works landing gear. The truck tractor also utilizes A-Line wheels that are free rolling mounted in 3/32nd tubes attached to the frame that was slightly beveled. The Dohrn decals are from Ken Goudy with Microscale alphabet letters for the nose and rear of the trailer. The tail and marker lights are craft store "glitter" about 1mm in size.
