This auto repair shop diorama by Andreas Kaluzny shows his little repair shop for classic cars. In this picture you can see the
vehicle stalls for trucks. The repair shop is named “Haube-Auf” which means "open the
bonnet [hood], please."
The three vehicle stalls were built from ROCO kits. The maintenance pit under the green Mercedes
L3500 (from Wiking) was built from Evergreen styrene. Andreas opened the driver’s door and the bonnet with a fine cutter and put an engine from a Herpa MAN truck in it. The little white MAN-Saviem truck is an IGRA-Modell, which is combined with a body
by Albedo and decals from my little boatyard named “Klar-bei-Anker” which is a German
sailor command which means "clear for putting out to sea."
The van behind the Jeep J4 (shown in Photo Gallery 591) is an Opel Blitz from Brekina, belonging to the repair shop.
The repaired car on the trailer is an Brekina BMW E3, waiting to be repainted. It has received a new rear door and new fender and some parts are treated with anti-rust-colour (primer). The trailer is a photo-etched kit from Automobilia. The yellow and white Brekina Citroen DS barely visible in the foreground is to be repaired, it is heavily coated with rust and dirt. Behind it there is a blue Porsche 911 Speedster. On display at the 2013 Fulda Meet.
