Michael Stegmann had this 1953 Timossi-Ferrari 'Arno XI' racing hydroplane (center, above) on display at the 2013 Fulda Meet. The model was built from an Indivudelle Modelle resin kit by Paul Arens. You may view a onstruction article on the mo87.de web site.
The prototype racing boat boasted a 600+ bhp, 4,493.73cc Ferrari Tipo 375 F1 V-12 engine with twin superchargers and twin four-choke carburettors and a Timossi di Azzano three-point racing hydroplane hull. The boat set a world speed of 241.708 km/hr (150+ mph) on water in 1953!
