It's hard to believe it's been so long ago since we first encountered this model and its modeler, Ralph Ratcliffe back at the 2000 East Coast Meet held that year in Towson, Maryland. This photo depicts the rear power plant of Ralph's Mack MP404X bottom dump quarry truck. The powerplant is a Detroit Diesel 12V-71 that Ralph detailed; note the silver hose clamps around the black air intake hose!
