We haven't heard from John in five years so we were really happy to hear from him again! Here's John's Peterbilt 389 truck tractor with B-train tankers making their way over Slynn Pass as the main road is not open yet. On their way to a new facility destined to store and process nuclear waste. This combo is part of the RanTranGru fleet, bringing needed supplies to the facility. The tractor and both trailers were being shopped when tagged for this run. There is a Mack CH613 pulling an empty Drop Deck following the tankers over the pass.
The Pete 389 is from Truck N' Stuff with straightened frame and fuel tanks. John added Herpa chrome Budd wheels on the drivers. It's pulling a reworked Promotex tanker B-train modified for multiple assignments. Added drop axles allow for the transporting of bulk oils, which are heavier than refined; also helpful in areas where axle weights s are restricted. John also added a deck plate on first trailer and scratchbuilt marker lights.
