Here’s a 1946 Chevrolet fire pumper from John Christie with cab and cut-down chassis from a Classic Metal Works tanker truck and a heavily modified Reader’s Digest pumper body. Other detail tidbits include a roof siren, certain extinguishers, and hard suction hoses made of round toothpicks. The booster hose reel came from a Boley model and a pump panel is from an old Matchbox toy. Paint is Testors Bright Red and decals from Microscale.
