Jim Groeneweg built this classic GMC Crackerbox pretty much stock from a Sylvan Scale Models resin kit, adding the tilting feature to the cab. Jim scratchbuilt the mirrors, wipers, grab handles, air breather tube, quarter fenders, and mud flap brackets. The battery box and fuel tanks are from Athearn as well as the spoke wheels and tires with a Dennis Aust air breather added on to the very nice Sylvan base model. Paint for this model is authentic 1968 GM truck code 555, Saddle Tan metallic along with standard white for the roof and a red fleet color for the chassis in base coat/clear coat BASF R-M paint. The 40' van trailer is an out of the box Athearn model.
