Four vehicle modelers from The Weathering Shop online group did a vehicle swap this past Spring. Rod Reilly built this for a fellow TWS member friend in Southern California. Rod tried to make his build regional and the biggest industry he found when he "Googled" the Southern California area was Gubler Orchids. After some research Rod built this truck and "Hans Gubler" to represent Hans in the very early sixties, just after taking down an Orchid flower show near his Twenty Nine Palms area farm. The truck is a Classic Metal Works International R-190 with a hand built bed and rack; model's bed as delivered was too long. Rod loaded it with a large assortment of growing stuff and hand built the prize winning orchid from German HO scale flower parts. He also added a hand shovel to Han's right hand.
