Uli Heuf's latest projects include these two truck tractors, the Peterbilt
379 on the left and the Freightliner FLB86 on the right. Uli says that
they are built from "parts from all known manufacturers" except
for the Peterbilt's straight exhaust stacks which are made from cotton
swab sticks. The inspiration for these models was Microscale's May Trucking
decal sheet. Uli deftly combined the stripes from the decal set with
his own color scheme to make one really striking paint job! The Peterbilt
is from Wiking with a Herpa sleeper and many added details. The Freightliner
is from Promotex/Herpa with an extended frame and Herpa Hi-Ab loader.
We first showed these two models in Photo
Gallery 41.
