This Link-Belt HC 238 truck crane from Denis Doucet features a scratchbuilt crane carrier combined with a heavy Kibri Liebherr 883 crane kit, kitbashed to achieve a Link-Belt HC 238 crane 140 ton capacity. Denis says it's not 100 % prototype but the feel and look is there. The wheels and tires are from the new set of Ralph Ratcliffe 14.00X24 planetary wheel set (Denis says, "...by the way these are awesome, it sure does the job, front wheels are not like that on the real crane, but it does look good on the this [model].") The crane carrier was built with all the Link-Belt dimensions and specs, outrigger floats are from the NZG Grove RT crane, boom was modified to the right length for the butt and head, crane has 200 feet of boom and 45 feet of jib. Denis painted his model in yellow and black with many parts on the crane house scratchbuilt with heavy modifications on the counterweight. All drums are functional with scale 2" steel plate for each outrigger float to spread the weight over a larger area.
