Denis Doucet built this pneumatic bulk B-train combination starting with a Malibu International Kenworth W900 and a hood from a Walthers Kenworth T600. Many modifications were made, not 100% prototype but the unit has the look of the prototype. The chassis is from a Promotex Ford with wheels and tires from Dennis Aust.
The trailers started with the short Herpa three axle, single wheel models; both ends were cut and a new frame were built for both ends. Note the the front trailer does not have the same frame as the rear one. Denis made the rear discharge hopper chute on the trailers, the Herpa original only has one discharge hopper chute, made all the piping, front fenders, ladders and the loading hatches, added wheels and tires from Dennis Aust, landing gear from Athearn, and catwalk made from Tichy crating.
The prototype dimension and specs for these trailers are from Tremcar, 2200 cubic feet capacity. Check the specs at: http://www.tremcar.com/en/dry-bulk/dry-bulk-b-train/2200-cubic-5-Axles.php Both sets are lettered for the Ciment Quebec, a big cement producer in Quebec. The truck tractors are usually from owner-operators on B-trains.
