In September of 2007 Randy scratchbuilt this nice 1/87 scale version of a 1926 Selden stake truck based on an illustration found in the book, "Hand Book of Automobiles 1925-1926". The body of the truck was built using styrene and brass, the stake bed built with Northeastern scale lumber. Wheels were made up using the centers from Grandt Line's 43" cable sheaves and the tires were fashioned from 7/16" Plastruct tubing. The model features an engine compartment left open with a simulated engine block and manifold.
