This beautiful Peterbilt 378 SBA model was built by Jim Groeneweg from one of his Jacob Models resin kits. Jim painted the model with automotive paints and built the tractor chassis from a Herpa frame with Canadian-style spread tandem rear axles. The trailer frame began as two Athearn container chassis spliced into one with a modified tridem suspension. Wheels and tires are from Athearn. The dump trailer body is a much modifed 40' Con-Cor piggy back trailer with all the ribs added along with a scratchbuilt tailgate. The tarp is modified from a Lonestar Models grain trailer and painted with Humbrol semi gloss paint. The dump body was painted with Alclad and the frame painted to match the tractor!
