Randy Sawyer spent some long hours on this 1/87 scale model of a 1925 Autocar dump truck. The model was built using styrene and brass. After the paint had dried, powdered pastel chalk was brushed on the truck model for an even drier, dustier look. The wheels were built from scratch. Wheel centers are from Grandt Line's push cart wheels in "O" scale. The flanges were removed and narrowed down considerably. Tires are fashioned from 7/16" Plastruct tubing shaped with a motor tool and a file before painting. All in all, over twenty hours were spent on the project.
