Randy Sawyer scratchbuilt this 1/87 model of a 1926 Kleiber tank truck in mid October, 2006 over one weekend. The model is based on a photo found in the book, "American Truck Spotter's Guide 1920-1970". The model was constructed with styrene and brass with scale lumber used for the catwalks. The disc wheels were made using the wheels from Grandt Line's Rio Grande narrow gauge train wheels with the flanges filed off and tires fashioned from 7/16" Plastruct tubing.
