Chester Fesmire built this spectacular model of an old Freightliner WF7542 that, in a past life, was obviously a Consolidated Freightways road tractor. The model started as an Athearn Freightliner, cab cut to length, added chain and tank guard, photo etched mud flaps, scratchbuilt air cleaner, Lonestar Models chain box and wheels from an Athearn Ford C model. The original dual headlights were glued in place and sanded smooth, then drilled out and a short length of styrene rod inserted in the hole and hollowed out to take a drop of Krystal Klear for the lenses. Moderately weathered.
