Brian Lazarus modified these two Boley die-cast models. He modified the ladder truck's pump to be a side mount pump and also added the ladder pipes (tubes on each side of the ladder) using styrene parts from Evergreen. Brian scratchbuilt the pumper's extended front bumper using styrene strips folded onto each other for the hoses. The side lights on the front bumper are from an Ertl 1/24 scale truck model. The rear lights are pieces of transparent red parts holders. To get the diamond plate effect on the rear steps, Brian placed the piece of styrene in a vice and tightened it up for a couple seconds. The traffic advisor is a piece of styrene cut to size and hand painted with a transparent yellow paint.
