This spectacular contribution from Andy Park is a model of a Mack MR short (100") wheelbase Weldbuilt wrecker as used by the PANYNJ to recover vehicles from various tunnels. These are also fitted with Purple-K fire fighting foam equipment to tackle any minor vehicle fires. It is based on a shortened Herpa chassis and a cutdown cab from a Matchbox emergency lighting tender with back panel from a Scania 142 added. The body, boom, lighting pylon, and heavy duty weighted front fender are all scratchbuilt.
