Constructed in the mid 1970s, Randy tells us that this model of a
1919 Atterbury is one of his earliest vintage truck models. The cab
and chassis were made from styrene and the cargo box was made from
scale lumber and strips of 1/64th" plywood stained with thinned
down model paints. The wheels were made up using the centers from Grandt
Line 43" cable sheaves with nut castings added to the hubs and
file-shaped 7/16" plastic tubing added for the tires. The lanterns
were made up by filing short pieces of square strip styrene and adding
MV lenses for the reflectors. The driver figure by Preiser was added
much later.
