One very special treat while attending the recent International Hobby
& Model Expo in Chicago was getting to see Dave Honickle again and
some of his fantastic new models. Frankly, this photo just doesn't
do this model justice! Dave started with a Classic Metal Works die-cast
1950 Ford pickup and cut open the hood and driver's door! The flathead six's cylinder head can be seen sitting on the driver's side front
fender. The engine bay is completely detailed with the engine block
showing the piston tops, head gasket, and all wiring and hoses! That's
the battery sitting on the passenger side front fender. The bed is
filled with detailed "junk" such as old and extra parts that look like
they might fit this old soldier! The wrecker boom was scratchbuilt.
