Here's another look at Mike Phelan's diorama featuring this crashed GMC Astro. The good news is that the driver of the blue truck tractor was able to walk away from this truck-train accident. The bad news is that the driver was able to do just that; he got up and walked away, and isn't around for questioning! As members of the Lowe County Fire Rescue and Monty Fire Department double check the tractor, Monty Police call in an ABP for the driver. This little scene is on Mike Phalen's basement layout, and has a few nice little touches, like the open doors on the tractor and the unmarked police car. The "wrecked" tractor is an old Lindberg "snap fit" kit from the 1980's, given the treatment with an X-Acto knife and a heat gun. Also shown in Photo Gallery 148.
