This behemoth is a Russian KraZ 257 from Kremenchugsky Avtomobilny Zavod (Auto Works). It has a massive 15-litre diesel bringing a modest 238 hp which develops enormous torque. Top speed is only 70 km/h (approx. 40 mph). Chester says the model is from High Speed and was part of a beer truck series that scales a perfect 1:87 with only a few additions such as Sheepscot headlamps, Herpa mirrors and custom stacks, fenders, mudflaps, some foil tape, and paint. The trailer is also from another beer truck series with a load of 36' steel girders Chester made from styrene I-beams and some riveted copper plates from a model ship; the boxed load on the rear of the trailer is from Scene Masters (Life-Like). Total length from tractor bumper to trailer end is 88'!
