This FTF tractor pulling this transformer load was scratchbuilt by
Hans Romp of The Netherlands. FTF stands for "Floor's Trailer Factory,"
a company in Nijkerk, The Netherlands. Beginning in 1966, FTF started
building trucks from components, cabs from Motor Panels (England), engines
from Detroit Diesel, Fuller or ZF gearboxes, and Timken or Rockwell
axles, mostly building truck tractors for total loads to 300 tons. FTF
no longer builds trucks, just trailers. Thanks to Hans, Jos Keja, and
Arnold Tamminga for some interesting historical information on Dutch
trucks!
