This Oshkosh M983 prime mover was kitbashed using two Roco M978 liquid tanker truck models. Oshkosh does make a M983 prime mover, on which Wayne's is based, but it does not have the dual rear wheels nor the extended engine cowling. Wayne widened his up front by extending the wheel arches so it was the same width as the rear over the duals. This would be for soft sand use. He added the second spare tire and crane and a few other details.
