                  | T'was the night before Christmas. And all through the town, not a
                    creature
was stirring except these two truck drivers heading home. As many long
                    haul
drivers know, their job demands a lot from them, but it's all worth
                    it when
they get to go home to a cozy fire, the smell of Ginger Bread, hot
                    cocoa and
Christmas lights adorning the house. Fortunately for the driver of
                    this
Freightliner FLA86 he is only a couple of miles from home and he can
                    already
imagine being there. He has thoughtfully bought his kids some toy trains
                    and
trucks during his travels, and plans to put them under the beautifully
decorated tree. He really must be longing to be home, as he thinks
                    he hears
sleigh bells and laughter. As he turns the wheel at this lonely intersection
with only another truck driver to share this moment with, he sighs
                    as he
realizes Christmas is all about being home with his family. The Freightliner FLA86 with dromedary box is an extensively modified
                      Herpa model.
The trailer is an Athearn 45' trailer lengthened to 53' and custom
spread axle. Both the tractor and trailer are for Joe's freelanced
                      ATCO Transportaion.
The newer Freightliner is Herpa as well, pulling a Con-Cor Overnite
                      trailer.
The buildings are from various manufactures on an urban/industrial
                      switching
layout built for Joe's Thunder Ridge Railroad. All of the lights/stars/smoke
and Santa's Sleigh were all added using Adobe Photoshop. Posted April 7, 2003 | |
