Rapido has announced an all new series of Chevrolet Impala models with intent to replicate 1980-1985 model years. Shown above are the paint schemes available in the first release and test shots of each variant. Rapido's new models feature both wagon or sedan carbodies, 1980s body style designed from photos and drawings, Multiple front grille designs covering the entire 1980s, real rubber tires (and white walls too, where appropriate), multiple wheel designs (wire spoke, "dog dish" and more), realistic chrome finish on bumpers, rims and more! Iconic Replicas has announced a fairly wide variety of new bus models under development and for bus model fans, almost something for everyone! At top is the Eagle Model 10, the mainstay of the Trailways fleet throughout the 1980s and early 1990s. Next is a GMC 4107 (commonly referred to as the "Buffalo" due to the hump behind the driver's compartment), used by several Greyhound affiliates and independent bus operators in the 1970s. Next is the GMC RTS transit bus for New York City's MTA. Next is the TMC/MCI RTS-06 commuter bus with a single entry door and also as a transit model with dual entry doors as shown in the bottom photo. Great announcements for bus fans! [posted 05/01/2021]
