Italeri Update - We now have received a sample of each of the two Italeri truck models shown above. The Western Star 5964SS on the left and Peterbilt 377 (pictured on the right) are both scaled accurately to 1/87. The construction of these models are diecast cab and chassis, plastic grille, bumper and sleeper, plastic accessories. These promise to be very good, almost ready to run models (modeler must add accessories). Shown below is a larger view of the Western Star.

Jacobs Models announces the release and immediate availability of their Freightliner FLD120 resin cab conversion kit with "condo" style sleeper. Kit consists of 7 pieces including the cab and integrated sleeper, hood, grille, bumper, left and right side fairings, sleeper roof and "gap extenders" at rear of cab (does not include chassis). OHS Models is now shipping their latest brass models, the Terex TA40 articulated dump trucks and Terex 33-11C and 33-11E mining dump trucks. Surrey Custom Models is pleased to announce a new line of cast resin detail parts for 1/87 scale vehicle modelers, diorama builders, model train enthusiasts, and collectors. The first release is as follows:

Details come unfinished so the modeler can paint and weather them exactly as they want. The castings require very little clean up and once painted look very realistic.
