Wiking announces new releases for June 2001 to include the 538 05 46 tractor-box van with the brand-new MAN TG-A XXL tractor in blue. The TG-A was promised at the 2001 Nürnberg Spielwarenmesse. This is the latest in Wiking's new generation of truck models and features lots of detailing. The van trailer is white with MAN's "Trucknology Generation" slogan on the sides and back. Price is $42.00.
Also new is the 672 40 40 Mercedes-Benz Actros roll-off dumpster and trailer decorated for Sauerland refuse company AKM. Cab is white with multicolor striping, logo and contact data. The containers are blue. The truck is an existing model, but the trailer is a new addition. Price is $29.00.
The 990 21 58 Special edition set commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Berlin Fire Brigade will also be a June release. The set contains three classic Wiking models: a Magirus-Deutz "Uranus" KW15 Crane Truck; a Mercedes-Benz S-404 with TroLF 750 pumper body; a Ford FK2500 Flatbed all in the older red-and-black color scheme. This is a special collector's package and I don't yet have a price.
