Classic Construction Models has announced that the last piece (#12) of the 1/87 Caterpillar series will be available in late December. The Cat 777D 100 ton mining truck promises to be an extraordinary model.

Custom Finishing has released a D7 bulldozer with a variety of attachments in the works. This is a pewter kit and appears to have excellent detail.

Eastern Car Works has announced 20' and 40' flat rack containers in 1/87 scale. These are sorely needed models for the intermodal enthusiasts.

JL Innovative Design, a manufacturer of 1/87 scale laser cut building kits and scenic detail items, has released a variety of motorcycles of 1947 vintage. Available in two and three wheel versions. Also announced is a set of two 1930s era race cars with availability expected in April, 2001.

Jordan Products has released a "hot rod" that appears to based on a Ford Model A with open hood and a flathead V-8 engine.
