In an event that must considered nothing short of miraculous,
a company new to the 1/87 vehicle modeling hobby has purchased the
tooling for the Ulrich line of die-cast truck kits and restarted production!
Steve Gill of Colorado purchased the Ulrich tooling with the intent
on restarting production of the Ulrich model railroad freight car line.
He got so many inquiries on the truck line he decided to concentrate
his initial efforts on reviving the trucks first! Lucky for us!
Steve has invested considerable funds in restoring and
replacing some of the old tooling. The first products offered are an
assembled, ready-to-roll 1955 Mack H COE tractor and trailer in a Schlitz
beer paint scheme. Also available currently are kits for the die-cast
Mack two and three axle tractors. Steve has the tooling for the Kenworth "needle
nose" conventional also and as funds and time allow will restore
the tooling and begin production of the KW in all the variations offered
over the years. Steve has been working very closely with Charlie Ulrich
who created the Ulrich line of models and is committed to reviving
the model line with the highest quality components and production possible.
We welcome Steve Gill and Ulrich
Models to the hobby and as our newest club manufacturer member!
